The first songs that I remember are “Pata Pata” by Miriam Makeba, Santanas “Oye Como Va” and a song by Gilbert Bécaud “Nathalie”. I was six years old and pretty proud of my dad’s record collection. I eventually got my own record player and with it “Let It Be” by The Beatles.The result was a bedroom fully decorated with Beatles posters – mostly portraits of John Lennon and articles about the band. Lord have Mersey! –John Lennon got shot in front of the Dakota building in 1980 and all posters and articles had to be removed from that wall.
With my guitar wrapped in plastic bags (guitar case substitute) I cycled to my friend’s who taught me to play the guitar. I left Suburbia behind and became a singer in a New Wave Band from Duesseldorf. I recorded a few records and after that I wanted to become an opera singer. Well, the Beatles are not going to be around anymore and not everything went as planned. But instead, many things happened that I couldn’t imagine back then.
In 2004, after eight years with Sony Music, the step into self-employment and the founding of my own agency Der Promotor. For 18 years now, I’ve been working for and with wonderful music and exciting subjects in a media scene that is under continual change in the German speaking countries. I work with amazing clients that entrust their work and art to my care.
I am as thankful for, and proud of all that, as I was at the age of six of my dad’s record collection.

Die Beatles wird es nicht mehr geben
Die ersten Ohrwürmer, an die ich mich erinnere, sind „Pata Pata“ von Miriam Makeba, „Oye Como Va“ von Santana und Gilbert Bécauds „Nathalie“. Ich war sechs Jahre alt und ziemlich stolz auf die umfangreiche Plattensammlung meines Vaters. Endlich bekam ich meinen eigenen Schallplattenspieler und „Let It Be“ von den Beatles mit dazu. Daraus resultierte ein Kinderzimmer plakatiert mit Beatles-Postern – vorzugsweise John-Lennon-Portraits und Zeitungsartikel über die Band. Lord have Mersey! John Lennon wurde 1980 vor dem Dakota erschossen und sämtliche Poster und Zeitungsschnipsel mussten runter von der Wand.
Mit meiner in Plastiktüten (als Kofferersatz) gewickelten Gitarre fuhr ich mit dem Fahrrad zu meiner Freundin, die mir das Gitarrespielen beibrachte. Ich ließ Suburbia hinter mir, wurde Sängerin einer Düsseldorfer New-Wave-Band, nahm ein paar Platten auf und plante, Opernsängerin zu werden.
Well, die Beatles wird es nicht mehr geben, und nicht alles lief nach Plan – dafür vieles, was ich mir damals noch nicht vorstellen konnte.
Nach acht Jahren Sony Music 2004 dann der Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit und die Gründung der eigenen Agentur Der Promotor. Seit mittlerweile 18 Jahren arbeite ich nun mit und für wunderbare Musik und für interessante, spannende Themen, in einer sich im ständigen Wandel befindenden Medienlandschaft im deutschsprachigen Raum. Mit tollen Kunden, die mir ihre Arbeit, ihre Kunst anvertrauen.
Auf das alles, bin ich so stolz und so dankbar, wie ich es mit sechs Jahren auf die Plattensammlung meines Vaters war.
